Leadership

The predominant, common thread found in all successful organizations is that leaders lead the organization--a leader's primary focus is leading people.  Unlike management and administration functions within an organization, which can be delegated, leaders must take ownership of their leadership roles. Leaders must understand and develop their skills...focus on necessary leadership skills including strategic visioning, systems thinking, knowledge driven and values-based decision making, and relationship building. Leaders need to understand people are their organization's most valuable asset--the true value within their organization--and leverage these assets through cultural awareness, communication, teamwork, motivation, and influence. Leaders are responsible for creating the vision and empowering their employees to achieve it.

“A leader is best
When people barely know he exists
Of a good leader, who talks little,
When his work is done, his aim fulfilled,
They will say, “We did this ourselves.”
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
